Mission District Part 2: Dive Bars, Neon Nights, and Late Drinks
Welcome back to Part 2 of the Mission series. If Dolores Park is where you spend the day, the Mission’s bars are where the night begins.
Start with Zeitgeist, the biker-bar-turned-beer-garden that has been serving Bloody Marys and attitude since the 1970s. Out back, the picnic tables are a classic Mission scene, packed with locals sipping pints under murals and motorcycles.
Then slide into the neon glow of Casanova, a velvet-lined cocktail bar with a jukebox that feels like stepping into another decade. Just down the street, Delirium keeps the dive-bar tradition alive with cheap drinks, sticky floors, and a dance floor that comes alive late into the night.
The Mission’s nightlife is eclectic, gritty, and stylish all at once — a reflection of the neighborhood itself.
Next up in Part 3, we’ll explore the food, shops, quirky traditions, and creative spirit that keep the Mission buzzing from morning to midnight.
