Up Close and Personal at the SF Zoo

So a few weeks ago, I posted an article about the Night Tour at the San Francisco Zoo. I volunteered both nights of the event, and had a great time!
I also mentioned that I’d be attending a behind the scenes event at the zoo for San Francisco Zoo Guardians . So I took the day off from the grueling world of San Francisco real estate, put on my fleece jacket, whipped out my camera and headed down to the Zoo!
They put on an awesome event for us… a bar-b-que picnic, with a chance to get behind the scenes at the South African Aviary, at Grizzly Gulch or at the Ostrich Barn where you get to feed an ostrich. I chose the ostrich feeding! 🙂 But before the feeding, I got to get up close and personal with a few of the zoo’s residents including a ferrett, a snake, an owl, an armadillo and a tortoise. It was awesome… and here are the (rather poorly shot) photos to prove it! Hope you enjoy!
And by the way, I donate a portion of my fees for every sale to the San Francisco Zoo. Contact me for more information!
