Some of you might remember The City Update from almost two decades ago—back when it was a weekly newsletter from yours truly, packed with San Francisco real estate news, fascinating stats, and all the market insights you didn’t know you needed. Well, I’m back again, it’s my 3rd edition (email me if you missed the first two and I’ll send them over), and I’m keeping the momentum going!

Before we get into The City’s real estate updates, I have to own up to something—I did the one thing I hate doing: I overpromised and underdelivered. I said this would be a biweekly newsletter, but, well… life happened. Turns out, writing this between selling homes and running LubaSF is harder than I thought. So, let’s call it the “kinda” biweekly newsletter. I’ll aim for Fridays, keep it fun, and try to do better. And to the few of you who noticed I skipped a week—thanks for keeping me accountable (and slightly mortified)! 😅

Now that I got that off of my chest, I’d love to invite you to check out some of my recent blog posts below. We have a speeding camera over of 7th and Geary that was installed this week, free toilets for SF residents, and one of my “Flackback Friday” posts for you where I waxed a little extra poetic about The City, and of course this week’s Rescue Roundup. Meet Icey: The Underdog with a Big Heart

Icey may look like a tiny, fluffy dream dog, but don’t let that fool you—he’s not an insta-perfect lap dog. He’s a work in progress, looking for someone who sees past the cute face and truly understands him.

At 4 years old and 14 lbs, this Maltese mix is full of quirks. He sleeps in the weirdest positions, finds comfort in his crate when the world feels overwhelming, and is still learning that being alone is okay. Separation anxiety? Yeah, he’s got it. But the good news? His crate is his safe space, and with patience, he can learn that the world isn’t so scary.

Icey takes his time warming up to new people, and yes—he may have a few accidents as he settles in. He’s currently fostered with other dogs, and while he’s not the playful type, he does seem to find comfort in their presence.

If you’re looking for an easy, ready-made companion, Icey isn’t your guy. But if you’re patient, kind, and willing to put in the work, you’ll earn the love of a truly special pup who just wants to feel safe.
